Woofy Pet Service — Terms & Conditions

(Applicable to Training, Grooming, Daycare, and Boarding Services)

1. General Agreement

By enrolling your dog in any Woofy Pet Service program (including grooming, training, daycare, or boarding), you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. You acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms outlined below and accept all associated risks and responsibilities.

2. Health & Safety Requirements

2.1 Vaccinations

All dogs must be up to date with their C5 vaccination. Proof of vaccination must be provided before the commencement of any service. Woofy Pet Service reserves the right to refuse service if vaccination records are not provided or are expired.

2.2 Illness

If your dog shows signs of illness (e.g. coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or contagious infection), please do not bring them to daycare, training, grooming, or boarding.
If a dog shows symptoms while in our care, they will be isolated, and owners will be contacted immediately. If the owner cannot be reached, Woofy Pet Service may seek veterinary attention at our nominated clinic (Albert Animal Hospital or Animal Emergency Service) at the owner’s expense.

2.3 Fleas, Ticks & Skin Conditions

Dogs with fleas, ticks, or untreated skin conditions will not be accepted. If detected during service, the dog will be sent home immediately, and applicable fees may be charged. Owners must ensure their dog is free of parasites and has been treated by a veterinarian before attending.

3. Grooming Terms

3.1 Pre-existing Conditions

If any pre-existing health issues or abnormalities are noticed during grooming, we will inform you. It remains your responsibility to follow up with your veterinarian. If urgent medical care is required and you are unreachable, we may seek veterinary treatment at your expense.

3.2 Elderly or Special-Needs Dogs

Grooming of elderly, infirm, or special-needs pets is performed entirely at the owner’s risk. You acknowledge the increased risks involved and release Woofy Pet Service from any responsibility for complications that may arise.

3.3 Aggressive or Stressed Dogs

If a dog displays aggression, severe stress, or poses a risk to staff, we may terminate the session immediately. The full grooming fee will apply, and additional handling fees may be charged.

3.4 Matting & Coat Condition

Extra charges apply for severely matted coats or difficult grooming conditions. In some cases, shaving may be necessary, which carries risks of skin irritation or minor nicks. By proceeding, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

3.5 Appointment Policy

Late Arrival: Arrivals 30 minutes late or more are considered “no-shows” and charged the full fee.

Early Drop-off: Arrivals more than 15 minutes early incur a $10 fee per 15-minute period.

Late Pickup: A $20 fee applies per 30 minutes after notification for pickup.

Cancellations:

48 hours notice: no charge

24–48 hours: 50% fee

<24 hours or no-show: full fee

4. Training Terms

4.1 Training Expectations

Woofy Pet Service cannot guarantee specific results, as every dog learns differently based on breed, age, history, and owner consistency. Ongoing practice by the owner is essential to maintain training outcomes.

4.2 Attendance

Classes run in all weather unless deemed unsafe. Missed sessions are non-refundable. Private make-up sessions can be arranged at additional cost.

4.3 Behaviour & Safety

For everyone’s safety, dogs must remain leashed and under control at all times. Maintain at least 3 metres between dogs.
Aggressive or reactive dogs may be required to leave immediately, with no refund provided.

4.4 Handlers & Participants

We recommend one consistent handler per dog throughout the course. Only immediate family members may attend unless otherwise approved. Children must be accompanied by an additional adult.

4.5 Cancellations & Refunds

>1 week before class start: full refund

<1 week: no refund

Missed sessions: non-refundable

Trainer cancellation: session will be rescheduled or credited toward future services (not products).

Special circumstances: medical or emergency cases considered case-by-case.
Refunds (if approved) are processed within 7–14 business days.

4.6 Media Consent

Woofy Pet Service may take photos or videos during classes for training records or marketing. Please advise staff if you do not consent to this use.

5. Daycare & Boarding Terms

5.1 Hours & Late Fees

Daycare hours are Mon–Sat, 6:30am–6:30pm.
Pickups after 6:30pm incur a late collection fee.
Boarding drop-off and pickup must follow the booking confirmation; after-hours arrangements may incur additional fees.

5.2 Health & Behaviour

Owners must disclose any behavioural or medical issues.
Dogs showing aggression, excessive stress, or illness will be asked to leave immediately. Repeated aggression may result in permanent suspension of services.

5.3 Veterinary Care

If your nominated vet is unavailable, Woofy Pet Service may seek treatment at our partnered clinic. All veterinary expenses will be the owner’s responsibility.

5.4 Property & Damage

Woofy Pet Service is not responsible for damage to personal items (e.g., leash, collar, toys) caused by dogs during their stay.

5.5 Cancellations

Daycare or boarding cancellations after 6:30am on the booking date are non-refundable and non-creditable.

6. Liability & Acknowledgement of Risk

You acknowledge that working with and housing dogs carries inherent risks. By using our services, you accept and assume all risks of injury or damage to yourself, your dog, or others caused by your dog’s actions.
Woofy Pet Service, its owners, employees, and representatives are not liable for:

Any injury, illness, or death of pets arising from pre-existing conditions or unforeseeable incidents;

Any damage or loss resulting from your dog’s behaviour;

Any injury to persons, animals, or property caused by your dog during services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Woofy Pet Service and its staff against all claims, expenses, or damages resulting from your dog’s actions.

7. Privacy Policy

 

Woofy Pet Service collects and stores personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information is used solely for service provision, safety, communication, and legal compliance. Data is securely stored in electronic or physical form and will not be shared without consent, except as required by law.
